This portfolio presents an AI-driven marketing strategy for Parsley & Twine, focused on addressing the challenge of lead generation by enhancing the online customer experience through personalised digital interactions.

Business Overview & Challenge

Parsley & Twine is a lifestyle-focused retail brand that offers a curated selection of homeware, accessories, and giftable products, characterised by a strong emphasis on aesthetic appeal, creativity, and individuality. The brand positions itself as a destination for thoughtful, design-led purchases, appealing to consumers who value unique, artistic items and a visually inspiring shopping experience. Its target audience is predominantly digitally engaged, browsing primarily via mobile or laptop, and often engaging in exploratory shopping behaviour, where inspiration and curation play a key role in purchase decisions (Venkatesh et al., 2022).

However, despite its strong visual identity and curated offering, Parsley & Twine faces a key marketing challenge: converting website visitors into engaged customers and high-quality leads. As an online retail brand without the benefits of in-store assistance, users may experience decision fatigue due to the breadth of products available, particularly when purchasing gifts or styling  items for their home (Iyengar & Lepper, 2000). This can result in passive browsing behaviour, where users explore the site but leave without making a purchase or sharing their details (Moe, 2003).

This challenge is further reinforced by the lack of personalised guidance within the digital environment, limiting the brand’s ability to replicate the reassurance and inspiration typically associated with physical retail experiences (Lemon & Verhoef, 2016).  As a result, there is a clear opportunity for Parsley & Twine to implement a more interactive and personalised approach to online engagement, in order to reduce friction in the decision-making process and increase lead generation (Davenport et al., 2020).

AI Use Statement

During the preparation of this work, I used Landbot's AI Agent Builder to help create a basic template for 'Bloom'. In addition, to help me approach this portfolio task, I also used Google Gemini and ChatGPT Plus, all accessed on 6/04/2026, to compare and suggest a general structure for the portfolio contents.  I verified all sources and claims, performed the analysis, and wrote the final text myself. I take full responsibility for the submitted work. No confidential or personal data was entered into AI tools.
